When he was thrown overboard and managed to cling to a part of the ship that kept him afloat, he didn’t think twice about jumping back into the gordln sea to save one of the other kids who was too weak to tread water and was ready to go under. I feel bad since they didn’t voluntarily decide to be on the boat. Because of this, she does not come to islad her fellow castaways until later in the series. It’s a must read series!!

The theme in the shipwrcek is to look at the bright side of things. It is about how Radford, the first mate, was rescued off the coast of China; he lies about how he tried to save them but everyone perished and he alone survived. It is revealed that a stray bullet struck Will’s leg and Ian proclaims that he could become infected and he could die.

Jun 12, Gracie Skultety rated it it was amazing. Read this one aloud to students because I shipreck enjoying it when I was a kid. Bugs Potter Who is Bugs Potter? It ends at a cliff hanger which makes me want to read the koorman book.
My favirote line has to be by Andrew “What is your problem dude, Are you special ed or something? Aside from two characters Charla and Lyssa no one in this book was all that interesting or engaging. A bunch of unlikable, incredibly stupid children end up on a boat together and continue to do stupid things until they cause a shipwreck in the middle of the Pacific. Thank you for using the catalog.

This series isn’t anything particularly new, but the way it’s told korjan it so much better. So while this book is a great short-read I wouldn’t recommend it to someone whose looking for an action thriller. I Want to Go Home!

By the final pages the Phoenix is driftwood, and two kids are presumably fish food. They have all been sent for different reasons.
